Grade 5 Unit of Inquiry Site

Grade 5 Teachers & Students  //  For Unit Two,

We're inquiring into how unequal or irresponsible distribution or sharing of finite natural resources can lead to conflict, and how we can resolve and manage conflict.

We need to understand first of all how all resources and humans are all connected, what the different perspectives are about sharing, and how we can be responsible for one another.

Thanks for sharing your ideas, perspectives, and new understanding!

Hey Aska,
Good question, but I think you have to decide what region or place in the world you're looking at. If you're looking at disease in Japan, it'll be much different than disease/sickness in other parts of the world where Malaria, Polio, and malnutrition are problems. Why are disease/sickness problems different in certain places?

I found a book that listed the world's most disliked diseases. They are Malaria, tuberculsis, kala azar, sleeping sickness, and the chagas disease. I hope this helps!

Hi Aska:

When say worst diseases, what makes one disease worse than another? I am curious what you think. And why is having a malaria worse than getting the flu? Or is it?
