Grade 5 Unit of Inquiry Site - Filed under 'Clean Water'

Grade 5 Teachers & Students // For Unit Two,

We're inquiring into how unequal or irresponsible distribution or sharing of finite natural resources can lead to conflict, and how we can resolve and manage conflict.

We need to understand first of all how all resources and humans are all connected, what the different perspectives are about sharing, and how we can be responsible for one another.

How do rich people think about poor people drinking dirty water?

I think that clean water is very important to your body, because if you
don`t drink, you will be very thirsty, and in poor countries that don`t
have much food and drinks, is going to starve to death. Poor people are
drinking dirty water get sick, and sometimes some people will die by
drinking dirty water!!!!

My opinion about clean water is... I think that clean water is important
to your body, because If you don`t drink clean water, you are going to be
very thirsty and in poor countries that don`t have food and clean water,
they are going to starve to death! So the poor people have to drink dirty
water that makes you very sick, and sometimes some people die by drinking
dirty water!!!

My opinion about clean water is that we have the right to help the people
and so they can be healthy or at least not suffer for water. People who is
suffering for water should not have to walk miles to get water and if the
kids have to get water for walking so long they will not have time to go
to educate them selves. Kids need good education to get smart and if their
smart they can get a job and they can get money for there family. But if
they don`t have any education it is hard to get a job and kids can`t get
money!!!!

I think this book was a good resource but it did not have good information
about the lack of water. it was intresting and had information about other
topics but not really any about having no water.
